I woke up today and packed my bags and got ready to head home with my friend. She got out of class and we took off. When I got home I went up to where my mom was working because that's one of the only ways to see her. While I was up talking to her many people came and left. I know pretty much everyone in town so I didn't get many looks, but there were a few older people that looked at me. I couldn't tell if they steretyped me, but since I've been out of that town all the younger crowd started growing their hair long.
I left my mom's work and went out to see one of my friends that lives back in Manilla. He now lives with his brother and one of his brother's friends right outside of town. I walked in and he was just chilling and watching tv. When I walked in he asked me what I had done with my hair, and I told him I had done nothing at all with it. I hung out with him most of the day before heading home.
When I went home I told my sister to straighten my hair, so I could see how long it really was. She has straightened my hair a few times before, so she didn't find this wierd. After we straightened it my bangs were down to my lips, and the back was to my shoulders. When mom got home from work she asked why did I straighten my hair, and I simply told her that I wanted to see how long it was before I got it cut.
