Sex Stereotyping

I have never heard of this sex stereotyping until I read on the internet about this firefighter suing the fire department because of unfair treatment he was getting for being a trannsexual. I guess this case changed the face of sexual discrimination laws in the U.S. The case changed it from discrimination based on group membership to discrimination on nonstereotypical behavior.
I feel that this guy had every right to sue the fire department. It wasn't like he was bringing that aspect of his life into the work place. This is just another case of homophobia on the attack because they find it wrong.
I do think that if him being a trannsexual was affecting his performance at work then fire him. I highly doubt that was the case since it changed laws around. I feel that the fire department discriminated against him purely because they know of him being this. That is what is wrong and affecting the work place is all of them are doing this instead of there jobs like they should be doing.
